Data tools
1 toolsComparing two versions of the same text is the whole job here. The Diff Checker takes two blocks -- files, config, query output, pasted logs -- and shows what moved, character by character, side by side or unified.

When a diff is the right instrument
A diff is the fastest way to answer "what actually changed" when the change did not go through version control: a config file edited on a server, a CSV exported twice, a response body before and after a deploy, a document returned without track changes. The whitespace and case options matter more than they sound, because indentation churn and case-only edits are the two things that hide a real difference inside a wall of red.
Comparison runs in your browser, so the text never leaves your device. The result exports as a .patch for whoever has to apply the change, or as a shareable link when the argument is about which side is correct.
How to choose a Data tool
Choose the view by what you are trying to see.
Side by side, with whitespace shown. Seeing both originals is worth the horizontal space.
Unified view. A clean result is one empty panel instead of two full ones to read.
Export the .patch. It applies with git apply and needs no explanation.
