Build a toolFrequently asked questions
Are ParsePad tools free to use?
Yes. Every tool on ParsePad is free with no account required. Open the URL and start working. Any paid, trial, or limited tool says so on its card before you open it.
Can ParsePad build a tool that doesn't exist yet?
Yes. Describe the tool you need in plain language and ParsePad's AI generates a working one — it writes the tool, tests it in a sandbox, and fixes its own mistakes until it passes. You can then use it, pin it, or share it.
Where does ParsePad run my data?
It depends on the tool, and each tool's card tells you before you open it. Formatters, converters, and validators run entirely in your browser — your data never leaves your machine. Tools that compile code, call live data, or are built by AI run on secure, isolated infrastructure.
What kinds of tools does ParsePad cover?
Tools across code and compilers, data, documents, finance, business, network, and SEO — from JSON formatting and conversion to invoice generation, QR codes, and live data dashboards. And if the tool you need isn't there yet, describe it and ParsePad's AI builds it. The directory at /tools has the full list with filters by category and task.
How do I find the right tool?
Search by task or format rather than tool name. Typing 'json' shows everything that works with JSON. Typing 'validate' shows validators across all formats. The category links on the home page group tools by data family if you would rather browse.
Can I request a tool that does not exist yet?
Yes. The /feedback page has a tool request form. Requests that include the payload shape, expected output, and a concrete failing example are easier to evaluate and tend to move faster.
