Online Compiler tools

4 tools

Run a snippet of C#, Java, PHP or Python without installing a toolchain. Each compiler here takes source in, executes it in a managed server sandbox, and hands back stdout, stderr and the exit code -- the same loop a local terminal gives you, minus the SDK download.

What the online compilers are for

These are scratchpads, not build servers. They suit the moment you want to check whether a LINQ expression compiles, confirm what array_merge does to string keys, or settle an argument about integer division: work measured in seconds and a few dozen lines. Execution happens on our infrastructure rather than in your browser, so there is a per-run time limit, no network access from inside the sandbox, and no filesystem that survives the run.

Nothing you paste becomes a project. Multi-file solutions, package restore, native dependencies and long-running processes are outside what a sandbox can offer, and a local SDK or a container remains the right tool for those. What you get in exchange is zero setup and a page where the snippet, the output and the language version are all visible at once.

How to choose a Online Compiler tool

Pick by the language in front of you, not the one you know best.

Checking syntax or a standard-library call

Go straight to that language's compiler. The fastest path from question to answer is running the six lines you are unsure about.

Comparing behaviour across languages

Open two compilers side by side. Integer division, string comparison and date parsing are the usual sources of surprise.

Reproducing a bug report

Paste the reporter's snippet unchanged first. If it runs clean here, the defect is in the surrounding project, not the language.
